A former village close to coast and countryside and with easy access to city life

Situated in southern England, Bedhampton is a former village located in the Borough of Havant. Close to coast and countryside as well as town and city life, it is a great place to call home.

Close to coast and city

Bedhampton is set between the two cities of Chichester and Portsmouth, both delightful and both with easy access to the coast. Chichester is a cathedral city full of history and beautiful architecture, nestled at the foot of the South Downs and close to the sandy beach of West Wittering. Portsmouth is a dynamic and vibrant waterfront city proud of its naval and maritime heritage. Both cities are less than 30 minutes’ drive away from Bedhampton.

Exploring the outdoors

With the South Downs National Park not far away, Bedhampton is a great base for exploring the great outdoors. The footpath and bridalway of the South Downs Way runs for 160 km from Winchester in Hampshire to Eastbourne in East Sussex and provides several walking and cycling routes along with breathtaking scenery.

The beautifully tranquil Langstone Harbour is also only 15 minutes away from Bedhampton which offers a 14-mile long waterside walk and is a haven for aquatic wildlife and a myriad of bird species.

Shopping at its best

Situated close to Chichester and Portsmouth as well as Southampton, excellent shopping is within easy reach. With Chichester’s high street mix of chain and independent stores, Portsmouth’s Gunwharf Quays designer outlet and Southampton’s premier West Quay shopping centre, there’s plenty of choice.

Family days out

There are plenty of options for days out with the kids, making Bedhampton the perfect place for families. Staunton Country Park is a popular choice, giving children the opportunity to meet and feed different breeds of farm animals. Fun is also nearby on Hayling Island with its seaside railway and ‘thrilling’ Funland. Being close to the beaches of Hayling Island and West Wittering as well, means that you’re spoilt for choice for a day out with the family.

Transport links

With easy access to the M27 motorway as well as the Bedhampton and Havant train stations, Bedhampton has excellent transport links so it’s perfect for commuters.
