Jonathan Twamley knew exactly what he was getting when he chose a new home at the impressive new Goitre Fach development, which is situated on the border of St Fagans and Radyr.
The construction director and wife, Catherine, wanted to move to an area with a rural feel but somewhere close to a local village – and that’s exactly what they found at the David Wilson Homes development.
“I work for Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes at its head office in Coryton, so I have first-hand experience of just what makes the perfect home, in terms of build quality,” said Jonathan (52). “I also know the area around Goitre Fach well. Radyr, and all its local amenities, is just over a mile away and Cardiff is a mere 20 minute drive – so the development is in a brilliant location.
“When we first visited Goitre Fach, we were struck by the feeling of space here – with all plots enjoying good-sized gardens. We chose the Holden house design as the size of all the rooms suits our lifestyle – where we can entertain in the kitchen/dining area but also have a spacious living room too. All four bedrooms are a large too – plus there is plenty of storage space.”
Too good to resist
Jonathan and Catherine were in a good position to move because their existing home sold quickly and, with interest rates comparatively low, a spacious new house at Goitre Fach was too good to resist.
“I cannot speak highly enough of my colleagues in the team here,” said Jonathan. “The service has been exemplary, from start until now. We’ve been fortunate enough to be ready to buy quickly at this development – but the process is made very straightforward, whatever your situation, by the experienced advisers here.”
A beautiful area
Catherine (42) added: “This is a really beautiful area to live. We are surrounded by trees but are within half an hour’s walk to a lively village – which has all amenities you can think of. An Italian restaurant, a number of bars, an optician and a chemist.
“We love our new home and would gladly recommend to anyone who is considering living here.”
Great commuter links
Goitre Fach features a stylish collection of executive four and five-bedroom homes. With central Cardiff a short drive, excellent commuter links and the privacy of a tree-lined development, this is a great place to call home.
Current availability includes the four-bedroom Exeter, Holden and Layton house designs, priced from £450,000, £458,000 and £490,000 respectively, and the five bedroom Manning home, from £583,000.
