“We had previously lived at Barratt Homes’ Bluebell Meadows part of the development – and we found it to be wonderfully quiet and friendly,” said Hannah. “Whilst in our previous house, we saw the David Wilson Homes designs taking shape – and we loved their style.
“Once we had the chance to take a closer look at St George’s Gate, we decided we wanted our forever home there. We sold our previous property and moved in with our parents so that we were in the perfect position to reserve the perfect plot. We were ready to move just as soon as it became available – and that’s exactly what we did.”
St George’s Gate is surrounded by rolling fields, country walks and is close to local schools and shops. It’s an ideal location for families and those seeking a quiet retreat.
“We love the fact that the David Wilson Homes properties are on the edge of the development – just a 15 minute walk into town. Being on the centre of the island, we can pretty much get anywhere within 30 minutes.” added Shane. “And we wanted to up-size to something with a kitchen diner, so we opted for the Ingleby house design.”
The heart of the spacious Ingleby is the open-plan kitchen diner. Ideal for socialising, this room is filled with natural light through French doors and features a seating area and separate utility room. There is also a generous lounge and a handy cloakroom. Upstairs, there is a generously-sized en suite master bedroom, along with a further three bedrooms and a family bathroom.
“Since we first registered our interest, the service we’ve had from David Wilson Homes has been excellent,” said Hannah. “They always kept us up-to-date and we even got to lay the first bricks here.
“We’re so happy to be moving to St George’s Gate. It’s within an area we know very well, and we’re looking forward to many happy years here.”
