The five star housebuilders have stepped in to fund the construction of two new dugouts, freeing up much-needed budget to be spent across the club.
“We are thrilled to be backing Thornbury Town FC,” said sales director, Andrea Pilgrim. “By creating new homes for people living and working in the surrounding area, we consider ourselves to be a part of this community.”
David Wilson Homes sales director Louise Ware said that the housebuilders are always looking for ways to support schools, groups and clubs in-and-around Bristol. “We are thrilled to have helped this excellent football club. We wish them every success for the future.”
Tom Shorey, media secretary for Thornbury Town FC, added: “We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes. This sponsorship money has gone towards some much-needed dugouts at the Mundy playing fields. With the club being run solely by volunteers, the kind sponsorship offered by the housebuilders will help the club grow and help us carry on our recent successes as Thornbury’s footballing hub. We look forward to the continuing partnership between us.”
Situated within the historic market town, Thornbury Town FC is a long established club, aiming to offer a safe, well-managed, facility for the development of the club’s youth players into senior football.
