From nearby Westbury, Rob is overseeing construction for the 147 David Wilson Homes properties at the site, working closely with his colleagues, subcontractors and suppliers.
Rob has previously worked as site manager on a number of developments including for David Wilson Homes, and is looking forward to creating houses people can turn into a home from as early as next year.
“I left the army and worked in a few roles that just didn’t interest me, and then I was offered a role utilising my skills in construction management, and the rest is history! I really enjoy working in such a big team and being able to create something together that will last as a community for many years to come.
“We’ve only just started here at Birds Marsh View so there’s a lot to do, but we have a great team and I’m looking forward to seeing the progress we make in the coming months. This is going to be a lovely development for buyers in the area, and as someone who moved to the area myself just over a year ago, I can highly recommend it!”
Carefully considered process
David Wilson Homes managing director Ian Menham added: “Appointing a site manager is a carefully considered process. We are very confident in Rob’s expertise, and we know he will deliver properties of the excellent quality that people look for with David Wilson Homes.
“An important part of the role of a site manager is to start the early work in building a community at their development. Rob has a great track record in making connections and is really approachable, making him the ideal candidate.”
Launching in Spring 2020, Birds Marsh View will feature a range of two, three and four bedroom homes. The development is surrounded by beautiful countryside, while still being close by to local pubs, restaurants and shops. For commuters, the A350 and M4 are only minutes away, offering easy access to Bristol, Swindon and London. With Ofsted rated ‘Good’ schools nearby too, Birds Marsh View will be an ideal place to call home.
