Home buying on the Isle of Wight just got more affordable as leading homebuilder Barratt Homes joins forces with private landlord heylo.
The scheme, called Home Reach, provides a more affordable way for people to get on the housing ladder across the UK via part-buy and part-rent. The scheme has already helped more than 2,000 new buyers onto the property ladder since it launched in 2014.
New homes available to part-buy, part-rent in Shide and Whippingham
The Home Reach initiative offers buyers the chance to purchase a share of the property based on the home’s value and then pay a low monthly rent on the remaining portion.
David Orchin, Managing Director of Acquisitions at heylo, said: “We are delighted to be working with Barratt Homes in making home ownership more accessible through Home Reach.”
Home Reach is only available on new build properties.
heylo strives to increase the supply of housing, a vision which is shared by Barratt Homes.
Helping people get on the property ladder
Barratt Homes sales director Michelle Storer said: “We are pleased to be launching the Home Reach scheme in partnership with heylo across a number of our developments on the Isle of Wight.
“It is important for us to assist in any way we can in terms of giving our customers more choice when helping people on or up the property ladder and the Home Reach scheme will enable us to do this.”
