Chepstow set for new jobs, community and homes boost

More than 473 jobs are to be supported in the Chepstow area, bringing a significant boost to the local economy.

Barratt Homes’ latest development, Wyedean Fields, in Sedbury, will see 110 new homes created to meet rising demand for property in the region including 44 affordable homes.

Due to launch later this year, the development of two, three and four bedroom homes will offer a range of properties in a desirable location, which boasts good commuter links and access to a number of local schools and amenities.

Barratt Homes sales director Richard Lawson said: “When building new homes, we strive to employ as many local sub-contractors and tradespeople as we can, including tradespeople, subcontractors and sales advisors.

“This is part of our ongoing commitment to create thriving communities where people will want to live and work, and with those who move to our developments likely to spend the money they earn at local services, it is not only the job market that will see the positive effects of these new homes.”

In addition to providing new homes and new jobs, the five-star housebuilder will be providing a local travel plan contribution of more than £40,000.

“This is a great opportunity to have a positive impact on the local economy. And as demand for properties is understandably very high in the area, we are looking forward to playing our part in providing the local community with what it needs.”

Wyedean Fields is a brand new development in the sought-after location of Sedbury providing a rural setting, good commuter links and access to local schools and amenities.
